I’m in office right now, could we talk about this later?’’ Nothing surprising about that one, save the fact that it is coming from a 17 years old. But first, why are we chasing teenagers for an interview?
Well, it all began with an ad about a work-shop for children. Understanding Reptiles which addresses children between five and 10 is the brainchild of Cara Tejpal.
So what is this workshop all about? “It will focus on clearing misconceptions about reptiles, especially snakes,” inform the young wildlife activist. And studies? “ Well, I will work for a year with wildlife SOS, an NGO and then get into college.”
Tejpal has been associated with the SOS for three years now and is actively involved in the Reptile Rescue and Rehabilitation Unit currently. “I always wanted to do something to protect the wildlife. This place has given me a wonderful opportunity to realize my dreams..
Besides animals, Tejpal loves to hang around with her friends and watch movies . sanctuary is her bible and she frequently visits wildlife sanctuaries to get a first-hand knowledge of the animal world. Tejpal has been popular among her friends and relatives for keeping unusual pets like snakes.
